Head in the Clouds is a festival hosted by 88rising (88⬆), a music label and marketing company that primarily promotes Asian-American and Asian artists in the U.S.
The biggest North American festival for Asian-American and Asian artists is back, and this year it will be held at the Rose Bowl stadium, California. After the 2020 festival in Jakarta was cancelled due to COVID-19, and consequently moved online, this year marks the first time that the festival will be in person again since 2019. Unlike previous years, the performances will span over two days.
The festival has been recognised as Rolling Stone and Los Angeles Magazine as the "Asian Coachella", and Billboard has also acknowledged the festival as "need to know". With this much critical acclaim, it is certainly very fundamental in raising and elevating the voices of under-represented artists in America and bridging the gap between the cultures.
This year, many artists of Korean ethnicity are set to perform - the line-up currently includes AUDREY NUNA, CL, DPR IAN, DPR LIVE, Eaj, Feel Ghood Music's TIGER JK, Yoon Mirae, Bizzy and BIBI, Japanese Breakfast, Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA, Luna Li, REI AMI, and Seori.
While there are still two artists left to be revealed, the line-up is already very strong and is certain to be a success.
The festival will be held from November 6th to 7th, and for a 3rd year running the 626 Night Market will curate the food.
