The rapper, real name Joon-hee Lee, was originally arrested on March 1st and has now been sentenced.
In March, KillaGramz was arrested without detention for the possession and inhalation of marijuana. A police officer arrived at his residence after receiving a complaint about the smell of "burning mugwort". Despite originally denying the charges, stating that it was the smell of an electronic cigarette, he later admitted to the charges due to evidence found in his home and studio. 3.02g of cannabis was found, alongside an inhaler. He later stated that he paid around 400,000 won for the marijuana to a dealer in Itaewon in December 2020.
This month, Lee was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation alongside 80 hours of community service and a fine of 200,000 won. Due to the Immigration Control Act, KillaGramz, a U.S. citizen, may be subject to deportation as those who have been sentenced to imprisonment without prison labour or a heavier sentence may be forced to leave.
KillaGramz is known for his appearances on Show Me the Money seasons 5, 6 and 9, and also as a radio host on TBS eFM and Arirang Radio.
