MAMA NOMINEES FOR BEST HIP-HOP & URBAN MUSIC RELEASED

With the 23rd Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony upcoming on December 11th, the nominees for each category have been revealed.

The annual ceremony will be taking place in the CJ ENM Contents World in South Korea, and will be hosted by Lee Hyori. The show is broadcasted in thirteen countries across Asia, and is considered one of the most major awards shows for South Korean music.

For the Best Hip-Hop & Urban Music category, the winner is decided through a culmination of factors. The weighting is: 40% MAMA judges' evaluations, 30% digital song sales, 20% official votes, and 10% album sales.

The 2021 nominees are:

• CHANGMO "GJD"

• Jessi "What Type of X"

• MINO "Run away"

• YUMDDA "9ucci"

Last year, the winner for the category was "Any Song" by ZICO.
