Though his identity was initially withheld, and it was only stated that the musician charged had been on High School Rapper, it has now been revealed that the rapper is Osshun Gum.

Rapper Osshun GumOsshun Gum (real name Ha-min Choi) appeared on season 1 of High School Rapper. He placed as first runner up behind YANGHONGWON with stars such as EXO's Chanyeol showing support for the up-and-coming rapper. Also in 2017. Osshun signed to Swings' label, Just Music. A year later, he participated in Show Me the Money 777 making it through to the second round.
Despite this, Osshun Gum began to have issues in his health and so returned back to his hometown of Jeonju to recover. However, his mental health issues led him to act irrationally leading him to doing things such as taking his clothes off and lying down in the street. In this particular incident he took a taxi to Haeundae, a place with which he has no connection, and touched the rear of a 9 year old in order to "pick and eat his faeces".
On his first indictment, the victim stated that Osshun Gum had touched his rear and not performed any acts of a sexual nature. His lawyer argued that it was an act "qualitatively different from sexual assault" and that it is a "relatively minor crime". Osshun Gum has apparently also apologised to the victim's family.
During the trial, it was also revealed that the rapper was mentally unstable at the time. His lawyer said that in June 2021, Choi was diagnosed with a severe mental health disorder and was hospitalised in a psychiatric facility for 70 days.
The next trial will be held in June.
